Phillis Levin

Phillis Levin (? - Present)

Phillis Levin is an Associate Professor of English at The University of Maryland. She is the author of three volumes of poetry, Temples and Fields, The Afterimage, and Mercury (Penguin, 2001), and is the editor of The Penguin Book of the Sonnet (Penguin, 2001). Her poems were published in The Best American Poetry 1989, Poets for Life, The Atlantic, The Nation, The New Yorker, etc.

The recipient of a 2003 Guggenheim Fellowship, she is the poet-in-residence at Hofstra University and also teaches in the graduate writing program at New York University.
