The tree has entered my hands,
The sap has ascended my arms,
The tree has grown in my breast-
Downward,
The branches grow out of me, like arms.
Tree you are,
Moss you are,
You are violets with wind above them.
A child – so high – you are,

The poem is about greek myths of Apollo and Daphne…. Where apollo fall in love with daphne.. girl does not want to lose her virginity.. she ask help from her father who is the god of river… Her father converted her into a tree… And now the tree is speaking…

After reading this ” so called poem ” no wonder he was declared mentally unsound.
ezra pound used the symbol of a tree pertaining to a girl. just like a girl, from being weak with no shapes and with no make ups, becomes more good-looking.
i think the writter is sad but i dont understand it all
