Eric Torgersen has published four books of poetry: The Carpenter (Salt Mound Press 1969); At War With Friends (Ithaca House 1972); The Door to the Moon (March Street Press 1993); Good True Stories (Lynx House Press 1994). Hanging Loose Press published his novella Ethiopia in 1977. His most recent book is Dear Friend: Rainer Maria Rilke and Paula Modersohn-Becker (Northwestern University Press 1998). He is Professor of English at Central Michigan University.
