i have found what you are like
the rain,
(Who feathers frightened fields
with the superior dust-of-sleep. wields
easily the pale club of the wind
and swirled justly souls of flower strike
the air in utterable coolness
deeds of green thrilling light
with thinned
newfragile yellows
lurch and.press
-in the woods
which
stutter
and
sing
And the coolness of your smile is
stirringofbirds between my arms;but
i should rather than anything
have(almost when hugeness will shut
quietly)almost,
your kiss
None of you have a f*cking clue about what ee cummings is attempting to describe in this poem. Stop acting like its all beautiful and captivating and sh*t because all of you are stupid a** loser fat f*cks who can’t find someone to love you so you read these poems while you eat ice cream and cry. Get up, lose 30 pounds and do some community service or something. Go do something with your lives.
You are extremely disrespectful. I certainly wish that you would dedicate, in your oh-so-active lifestyle, a few seconds to watching your reflection in the mirror and meditating on what is felt beneath that layer of oh-so-toned skin. Perhaps you may enjoy poetry after that.
This poem is incredibly simple on the surface. But in reality it speaks huge amounts on life, love, and how the world is reflected back on us.
I think this poem has more meaning to it that goes beyond what the eye can see and i think it means that he can see beyond what anyone else see in the girl.
this poem is so beautiful…i just can’t stop reading it…
amazing.

Unfortunately the version of this poem presented on this website is actually the incorrect layout (it is left justified).
The original poem was staggered in places and the style he was noted for was this staggered ‘ad hoc’ style. It’s a shame this website has butched the style he was known for.
to my feeble sences , a ringing of psalm 23
i read this poem over and over and all i can think about is that it has something to do with true love and not giving up on the idea of finding your soulmate. this poem is full of hope.
