to me this poem could be describing a circle…
it’s an impossible mystery to know what’s the ‘because’ and what’s the ‘result’ in this world. because there’s we, because there’s spring, because there’s life, because their’s love… it’s all a constant circularity of the universe’s creation. science may assert there must be a cause and effect logic, but ee cummings seems so beautifully to be showing us that there is a more important truth than mere empirical logic. love, life, and the possibility of a ‘we’ that transcends all natural laws in its meaning, beauty, truth…
wow this poem is amazing. i like how he talks about love and seasons. he definetly used nature to show varies points and emotions. In this particular poem, i think hes saying that spring overcomes people, we’re better b/c of it and it sort of changes us, i.e. lives leading people, not the other way around. very true. also i love how he says “you & i are more than you & i” b/c its we. we being they become a unity, not just separate people together.
this poem is so beautiful, the way it flows is so nice, reminds me of my girlfriend!
