Oh, when I flung my heart away,
The year was at its fall.
I saw my dear, the other day,
Beside a flowering wall;
And this was all I had to say:
“I thought that he was tall!”

    this poem is not “really bad”! It shows the typical transition that goes through women when being in love and coming out of the dream. Love truly is blind, and a women, when in love, usually thinks the sun shines out of the guy’s shoelaces and gets a rude awakening when she comes out of the ‘trance of love’. Dorothy’s poem gives an apt portrayal of this typical ‘love sympton’.
