The world’s
not wanton
only wild and wavering

I wanted to choose words that even you
would have to be changed by

Take the word
of my pulse, loving and ordinary
Send out your signals, hoist
your dark scribbled flags
but take
my hand

All wars are useless to the dead

My hands are knotted in the rope
and I cannot sound the bell

My hands are frozen to the switch
and I cannot throw it

The foot is in the wheel

When it’s finished and we’re lying
in a stubble of blistered flowers
eyes gaping, mouths staring
dusted with crushed arterial blues

I’ll have done nothing
even for you?

THE POETESS CARRIES A PERSONA WHO IS DEEPLY CONTEMPLATING HIS/HER WORLDVIEWS.AND THIS POEM IS OBLIQUELY A CRITIQUE ON HUMAN-MADNESS CALLED WAR.IT ALSO A BIT IN THE MODE OF carpe-diem,PUTTING THRUST ON HERE N NOW KIND OF LIFE AND SCATHINGLY SUGGESTS THAT AFTER WE HV GONE FROM HERE,NOTHING RELATED TO US MATTERS ANYMORE.NO COMMUNIQUE REACHES THE DEAD!IT IS ALSO AN ADDRESS TO THE LOVER WHO HAS GONE TO SOME BATTLE-FIELDS AND HAS NOT RETURNED FOR LONG.THE WAITING TORMENTS AND SHAPES THE FINAL VIEW-POINTS THAT WORLD HAS SOME PURPOSE YET INDIVIDUAL WISHES OR INSTINCTS ALSO HAVE SOME DEFINING IF NOT DEFINITIVE PURPOSE PLUS PATTERN AND THUS IT SHOULD NOT BE TREATED BAD. . .O!MY BELOVED!COME SOON AND FEEL WHAT MY EACH POUR OF MY BODY TELLS!LET THERE BE A REBELLION INSIDE US THAN D OUTSIDE!LET OUR LONG SUPPRESSED INSTINCTS COME OUT FOR A KILL!LET THERE BE SOME BALANCE BETWEEN THE SELF N THE SOCIETY. .
