We decided that we had to be more environmentally responsible. So, to begin with, we developed a pod that used 35% less plastic. Then, we began developing biodegradable components. We have been working for years on this – and are 97% there. Currently the OneCup packaging and the coffee are all 100% biodegradable. The lid and the mesh filter, are the only components not biodegradable – and we are working on that! All combined, the OneCup is 97% biodegradable. We source only the very best quality Arabica coffee beans, grown high in the mountains and hand-picked for perfect ripeness. We are very, very picky (pardon the pun) – we have the most demanding standards in the business. When we have found the best beans, we then we roast them to perfection – to their fullest flavor point – using our proprietary and top-secret roasting system. Then, we grind them for optimum flavor, just before packaging into our revolutionary OneCup single serve pods. And finally, our stringent Quality Assurance procedures ensure that the coffee you receive is as consistent as it is excellent. One of our criteria for the OneCup was simple - that it had to taste better than the other single-serve pods out there. Founded more than 34 years ago, the Rogers Family Company is comprised of Jon and Barbara Rogers, their three sons, their daughter, and two daughters-in-law, along with over 250 employees.
