James Bond Casino Royale (1954)

This Casino Royale is the first screen performance of James Bond and the first adaptation of the Ian Fleming novel of the same name. In this live television broadcast from from 1954 we are introduced to James Bond before he liked his martini shaken not stirred. Barry Nelson is brilliant as James Bond who must defeat Le Chiffre (Peter Lorre) in order to save the girl (Linda Christian) and complete his mission. The original ending with one last battle between Bond and Le Chiffre was lost for years until now. Remastered from its original kinescope version it now completes this must see classic Bond story. First aired live on October 21, 1954 on CBS as part of the Climax Mystery Theater this version of James Bond paves the way for how Bond has come to be known today. This 2012 release which includes the full ending sequence is the only disc containing the entire version as it was originally aired. A must have for all Bond fans!
