Editorial Reviews:
Synopsis

Dead Dreams, Book 1, is a psychological thriller that will take you on a roller coaster and keep you asking for more.

For readers 13 to 18.

Eighteen-year-old Brie O’Mara has so much going for her: a loving family in the sidelines, an heiress for a roommate, and dreams that might just come true. Big dreams--of going to acting school, finishing college and making a name for herself. She is about to be the envy of everyone she knew. What more could she hope for? Except her dreams are about to lead her down the road to nightmares. Nightmares that could turn into a deadly reality.

Dead Dreams, Book 1, a young contemporary adult psychological thriller and mystery.

Don't read this book if--

  1. Don't buy or read this book if you want your endings tied up neatly in a bow. Dead Dreams, Book 1 (as is announced very clearly as part of the title,) is the first part of a two book series. You will not like the cliff hanger ending if you want all your answers in the first book. And don't bother to lecture me about books in a series needing to have a final resolution since MANY secular and non-secular long-time established fiction authors have done it, including the master, Tolkien and his trilogy, Lord of the Rings, James Patterson, Jeffrey Archer and of late, Hugh Howie of the successful Wool series.
  2. Don't buy and read Dead Dreams, Book1 if you feel 99c or $3.99 is too much for an author's yearlong work. It costs thousands to produce a book and if you feel ripped off by a price that's less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks I think that only reflects badly on you.
  3. Dead Dreams is written for readers 13 to 18 and for those who feel a reader in this age group could enjoy and benefit from the book, its theme and its message. If you cannot relate to the main character who is 18 and feels she is too naive--you are right. She is naive. She is 18 and come from a sheltered life style! If you cannot remember what you were like when you were a teenager and cannot empathize you are probably too old for this book or don't know many young people and are therefore not qualified to review this book.
  4. Dead Dreams is written for readers 13 to 18 and for those who feel a reader in this age group could enjoy and benefit from the book, its theme and its message. 5. Don't bother to write a review saying the book needs an editor since the book has two accomplished editors, both also being authors, and one is a multi-published author and an editor and he is a professor teaching creative writing in a major creative-writing university. Granted, there might be some typos and even formatting issues perhaps in my books (which book doesn't have these), and I gladly receive these sorts of criticisms and will get to fixing them. (Thank you!) But as far as major grammatical and structural issues are concerned, I'd rather listen to a professional writer or editor. If you had to have brain surgery would you heed the advice of the layman on the street or to the professional surgeon?

˃˃˃ Midwest Book Review says"

... ala 'Single White Female' (but with more bite), Dead Dreams succeeds in questioning the nature of reality, perception, character and motivations.

˃˃˃ Amazon's Top 1000 reviewer says:

After reading this book in one sitting because I couldn't put it down, I'm definitely going to be reading the next book in the series. Very highly recommended for fans of YA mystery and thrillers!

˃˃˃ From Best Selling Author

It may sound cliché but I was hooked from the first page.
