Synopsis
3 Reasons Why You Need To Buy This Book:
1. You will laugh
2. You will cry
3. You will fall madly in love

Helen's Curse is the first part of a series.
Helen Marie Lightfoot is dead and she has plenty to say about it. Born to a coven of notoriously beautiful witches, Helen— a rising blues rock star— looks back on her brief but colorful life and the family curse which condemns her to a life of solitude.
For Dante and his younger brother Serafino— two young wizards growing up in a patriarchal world of privilege run by a shadowy organization known as the Brotherhood— life has become a horrifying ordeal under the tyranny of a sadistic father.
When Dante is sent by the Brotherhood on a mission to murder Helen in order to right an ancient wrong, he ends up falling in love with her. Determined to pursue love regardless of the consequences, he must find Helen and convince her to marry him before he is forced to carry out the sentence.

Sexy, Amusing and Deeply Moving, Helen’s Curse is a character driven, paranormal romance for young adults (16 and over) with a strong, edgy voice set in New Orleans during the late Sixties.

Excerpt from an Author Interview

1. What inspired you to write “Helen’s Curse”?

We did it for fun!
2. How did you manage to create characters that were so compelling and complex?

Love. From the moment they walked into our lives it was love at first sight. They started speaking to us and we had no idea what they would do next. They were a law unto themselves. How dark is dark? We kept asking them, Can a monster be created or is he born that way? Is it possible to be both a devout Catholic and a witch? Images of the hit series “Dexter” came to mind, a show we stopped watching when I started giving unsolicited advice to the protagonist. “You’re doing it all wrong, Dexter— use the duct tape.”

3. Why did you choose to write a paranormal romance?

The story wrote itself that way. In other words; we didn’t choose it— it chose us. What we eventually ended up with was a story so organic and unpredictable that it defied categorization— a tale of Machiavellian intrigue and magic with enough naughtiness to make a sailor blush. There is a reason why the book comes with a viewer discretion advisory (16 and over please).

4. Why the pen name Nichola St. Anthony?

Nichola St. Anthony is a composite of both our middle names. My middle name is Nichola and my husband’s middle name is St. Anthony.

5. If you could pick one song that sums up the book, which one would it be?

Oh, that’s easy. “Uninvited” by Alanis Morisette.

About the authors

Nichola St. Anthony is the pen name used by two romance writers who also happen to be married. “Helen’s Curse” is the latest in a string of collaborations which also include their amazing daughter, Samantha. Story telling comes naturally to this artist and former musician who have always told stories through images and song.
