Quit smoking. No more weekend binges. Quit the whole “I can get by on a couple hours of sleep” crap. Respecting yourself should start with how you treat your body.
Secondly, quit all the negative self-talk. “I can’t do it. I’m too old, too young, too slow, too big, too skinny, too whatever.” Can’t never could. It’s corny, but true. If you believe in yourself, you can do anything.
Self-deprecating humor is okay. People think it’s funny sometimes when you make a mistake and kinda bust on yourself, making a little fun. “Gosh, I’m an idiot!” Nothing wrong with a little kidding around. Just beware of getting into any bad habits like negative self-talk.
Action: Evaluate how well you treat your body. Make better decisions. Catch it when you start talking bad about yourself and your abilities.
