Editorial Reviews:
Synopsis
Reigning World Champion bull rider, Marshal Seaton, is injured winning his fourth world title. His career is interrupted to recuperate. He heads to Montana to stay with the friend and mentor who rescued him from a state detention center as a youth. Immediately, Marshal runs into two other old friends who helped him escape a trip back to jail fourteen years ago. He is instantly attracted to the beautiful green-eyed barkeep who has changed so drastically.

Free-spirited and self-reliant Madison MacKenna wants nothing to do with the hot-ticket bull rider with the killer smile and handsome-as-sin face. She has done an adequate job of forgetting him. She is no longer the starry-eyed teenager hung up on the town bad boy. Her plan to keep him at a distance works pretty well until her conniving ex-biker father hires Marshal to work in the bar. Madison knows all too well that once he runs into his old high school sweetheart, he will break her heart all over again.

Complications arise when a powerful and vengeful old enemy who can't let go of past hatreds comes back into town. Madison's old ex returns as well and stirs up serious trouble, while Marshal's ex-girlfriend delivers unexpected news.
Worst of all, his mentor's cattle ranch is beset with dangerous and costly problems as a result of the fracking that is going on under his land. When her father and friends take up the battle to save their community from hazardous environmental threats, Madison and Marshal pitch in to help.

The challenges that Marshal is forced to deal with prompt him to reconsider his nomad lifestyle. He comes to realize that home doesn't have to be the elusive thing it has always been in his life.
