Editorial Reviews:
Synopsis
The year is 2004 and Gabe Mapel, the District Attorney of Pine Springs, Colorado, is going through a tough time: He lost his leg in Iraq. His father has died. He can't find a publisher for his war memoir. His erectile keeps dysfunctioning. And now George Bush has just been re-elected to four more years.
To find direction in his floundering life, Gabe begins having imaginary conversations with his hero, Abraham Lincoln. But the imaginary conversations turn disturbingly real when the Great Emancipator manifests and encourages Gabe to make a name for himself and win political influence by framing a world famous movie star for a serious crime. Gabe must now choose between being a sad sack nobody or an ethically challenged somebody.
