LORD WHITTINGTON CAUSED HER TO HAVE THOUGHTS NO DECENT WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
Having a close resemblance to Queen Elizabeth I, and claiming descendance, served Priscilla well when as a girl, she was teased mercilessly about her carrot-red hair and freckled white skin, so on arriving in Cheyenne, Wyoming, when she implies as much to avoid a humiliating situation, she suddenly finds herself sought after by the matriarchs of Cheyenne's wealthy British cattle barons. But Priscilla did not come west to be sucked up into British society. She came on a wagon train with homesteaders to start a newspaper addressing the needs of women, which means facing up to the powerful Wyoming Stock Grower's Association and cattle barons like Lord Whittington who want every homesteader run out of the territory. But Adam Whittington has his own means of handling the troublesome woman, who's stirring up a cauldron of controversy with her rabble-rousing newspaper. What Adam doesn't count on is falling in love with the redheaded firebrand, who's alienating every cattleman in the area, and even threatening her own life.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: AUTHOR'S NOTE: As of 04-11-2014, an epilogue has been added to the story to satisfy those readers who thought the story ended too quickly. Prior to adding the epilogue I was following history as it pertained to the controversy surrounding Ella Watson, a woman in the story, but being a fiction writer, I have taken the liberty of re-writing history some, in hopes that readers will find a more satisfying ending. My "Author's Note" following the story gives an accurate account of what really happened.
