Barney: Waiting for Santa [VHS]

Santa has given Barney and his friends a special job on Christmas Eve. They are to take Derek, the new boy in their neighborhood to the North Pole to see if Santa knows his new address. Arriving at the North Pole in Barney's custom sleigh, the kids play on the ice, pretending to be elves in Santa's workshop and learn from Mrs. Claus that doing things for others is what Christmas is about.

Tosha and Min make a wish to sail to Imagination Island--and then get their wish with a little help from Barney. Onboard already are the other kids, but when a giant wave strands everyone on the island, they meet Professor Tinkerputt, a toy inventor who doesn't like to share his creations. The gang work with him in this lively episode to see the value of sharing. Among the numerous songs are "Having Fun" and "Listen." --Tom Keogh
