Editorial Reviews:
Synopsis
Hardcover with dust jacket. Harper Lee, Author. Approximate size, 5.50 x 8.50. Book Club Edition, 1960. Total 255 pages. Jacket Design, Shirley Smith. Black boards with white lettering on the spine. J. B. Lippincott Company, Philadelphia & New York, Publisher. Printed in the USA. Lightly age toned with deckled pages. One small stain on the back of the endpage at the spine near the bottom. The spine is tight and straight, the pages are clean and unmarked and has no torn pages. The dust jacket is worn at the edges, the back of the jacket is lightly faded and has several tiny, short tears on the jacket, the jacket shows edge/shelf wear. On the photo on the back of the dust jacket, the previous owner wrote a word near the lips of the person in the photo. First Edition, BCE. "Someone rare has written this very fine first novel: a writer with the liveliest sense of life and the warmest, most authentic humor. A touching book; and so funny, so likeable." This credit was written by Truman Capote. "To Kill a Mockingbird, is an authentic and nostalgic story which in rare fashion at once puts together the tenderness and the tragedy of the South. They are the inseparable ingredients of a region much reported but seldom so well understood." There are a couple of dog-earred pages in the book. An excellent book for a very good price! *9BC0
