The ninth volume in the Forty-fifth Series of fine books made for the members of The Limited Editions Club is The Bridge by Hart Crane, with an introduction by Malcolm Cowley.
The book is illustrated with photographs by Richard Mead Atwater Benson: one double-page spread and four points single-page, printed in three tones.
The design is by Stephen Stinehour. The text has been set in fourteen-point Monotype Dante.
The text was composed and printed by Michael & Winifred Bixler in Somerville, Massachusetts; the photographs have been produced by The Meriden Gravure Company in Meriden, Connecticut.
The page size is 9 x 12 inches, and there are 96 pages. The soft-white smooth finish was specially produced for this edition at the Mohawk mill in Cohoes, New York.
The endleaves have been printed in deep blue with a paste-paper design created by Carol J. Blinn. The binding is in silvery gray cloth imported from the Netherlands, stamped in dark blue on the shelfback and in blind on the front cover. The edition has been bound at The Stinehour Press in Lunenburg, Vermont.
This is copy number 1252, and is signed by Richard Benson, the photographer.
