Active Service

Stephen Crane's Active Service tells the story of Professor Wainwright, who takes his daughter Marjory along on a tour of Greece with a group of his students in order to prevent her impending marriage to a former student named Rufus, of whom he disapproves. While there, Greece goes to war with Turkey, and Rufus must rush to the region to rescue his love.
