Synopsis
'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.' So begins A Tale of Two Cities, set in London and Paris and one of the most famous novels in history. When the story begins, Jarvis Lorry is meeting young Lucie at Dover to accompany her to France for a reunion with her father. Meanwhile, Charles Darnay is accused of treason against England but is acquitted with the assistance of his drunken colleague Sydney Carton. It is not long before their lives become entwined.
