As simply and as briefly as possible, she endeavored to relate such events as occur almost daily in our midst. In the selection of a title, she could not find a suitable English term which would express the meaning she wished to convey in unison with the leading idea of the book, therefore she was obliged, without reluctance, to use a French term.
