What a neat poem. To me it says several different things. One, that anyone
can experience extraordinary pleasure, be it ecstatic passion or dancing or
whatever even if they can't fly to the moon. And that in these moments, you
want this to never end. However, the man who did make this extraordinary
journey, was nevertheless mortal with his feet on the ground, as in the
title and came home to 'the rest of us' - the big sleep, when everything
did end. Also, the poem may be saying that all pleasure is ultimately the
same and is experienced in human, not superhuman terms.
