Analysis and comments on Song at Sunset. by Walt Whitman

Comment 1 of 1, added on July 25th, 2005 at 1:30 AM.

Walt Whitman's spirituality has never been a questionable subject. His
beliefs in the spirit of all, the God in all, it's fantastic. This poem
reminds me of myself, thoughts I have in solitary moments out in the world,
cherishing the day. This poem makes me fall in love with the world all over
again and makes me want to touch it, taste it, breathe it all in. I could
see him as a man who would have been a fantastic conversation, someone that
makes you feel that much closer to our purpose, just through perhaps
trivial small talk. Though I don't believe his talk would be very small at
all.
