i didnt even finish reading this poem and i love it more than any other
poem ive read on this site, im stuck in this classroom on this computer for
hours and i just like coming in here and reading to find a good poem and
this one just made my day :)

To You, exemplifies the interest and concern that an individual can take in
another individual or group other than him or herself. Walt Whitman
candidly expresses the pain of the enslaved black men and women as he
traveled to New Orleans during the late 19th century. Oh how great it
would be if we all could understand each other as Walt Whitman has
expressed in the above poem.
