The ass mocks him. The stupid ass grazes on his grass in his thoughtless
survival. While the man is tortured by his determination and his inability
to succeed without labor. He simply can't stop thinking. While the ass
eats his fill without care.

I keep thinking that this man on the burning road is work-weary. He
struggles and works to survive. When he sees this stupid ass in the green
place he gets angry and says that the ass should be on the burning road.
Perhaps the Ass should get out and work, but the man should also go to the
green place. I think this is about balance. The man on the burning road
will not go to the green place because he does not want to be like the
grinning ass, though if he were to go he could probably appreciate it more
than the ass. The ass on the other hand is grinning at this tired man and
seems to not grasp how wonderful of a place he is in. Perhaps in the end
life should be a balance between the burning road and the green place.

A dusty road comes to my mind, with a dusty man in tattered clothes doing
some work. He is so hot and thirsty, and dirty from the dry air. His head
is dry and he looks up and sees this fat, stupid ass grinning at him from
the green place. He must feel what a lazy animal is this ass. Just
sitting there. Look at me, he thinks, I work so hard and you are so lazy.
Do not be satisfied with your easy life, "it will not suffice you." Get up
and work hard like me, toil on this burning road.
