i think that whomever stated that this poem is retarted , is in fact
retarted. Robert Frost is an intellectual genious and was trying to prove
the point that material objects conqure our ability to see the beauty in
the natural wonders of the world. Something as simple as a birds's song can
be to the utmost signifigance.

You know, I can sympathize with Mr. Frost here because I think he is
actually clapping his hands at some student of poetry who will never be
capable of song and while he may have felt this way towards free verse, I
have felt the same towards free verse snobs who put down rhyme and make a
racket about it. Basically, I agree that one should be tolerant of song,
no matter what key it takes, but on the other hand, if you're sick or
tires, you may need to clap at the bird to get them to leave for your own
sanity. Which brings us to the next question... is it really necessary to
clap for them when they can't sing?
And please, if they're not only singing off key but copulating and
defecating all over the yard, CLAP.

This poem make readers to think deeply on human behavior. At once you are
uanble to get a deeper meaning considering the outer meaning.But the inner
meaning of the poem is too deep.How ever this poet simply but cleverly
lauhg at majority in this sociaty including him self.

Robert Frost is a poet who starts his poems in delight and ends in wisdom
and this poem touches our hearts as it reveals the reality of the world. We
are always attracted towards the material things than natural things.I
