although this poem was first published in 1923, i think that it was
actually written a lot earlier. When his wife, before they were married,
turned down his wedding proposal, frost was sure that she was seeing
someone else. i think that is were the first stanza came from. he went to
the Great Dismal Swamp because he was so depressed and i think that is why
he thought about killing himself.

This poem is amazing! it doesn't only show us a brilliant description of
winter, but it also describes perfectly the feelings you have in the middle
of a long journey! i was inspired by this poem in my english class!

This is such a beautiful poem. I believe he is talking about suicide, but
he realizes he has so much to live for yet.
