I like the way this is written, he really does a good job of showing how
the speaker is hit with the harsh reality that he can't escape.

In Edgar Allen Poe's poem, "A Dream", he made it easy to visualize. He uses
his mastery of the English language to provide astounding imagery. He shows
that even though dreams can seem horrible at times, they are better than
this "cold reality".
