Este é um dos textos mais irônicos produzidos dentro do contexto do período
revolucionário americano. observe que os versos iniciais são uma
brincadeira a partir dos versos do Hino Britânico "God save our dear
Queen1". Em todos os versos, a presença de apostrofação aproxima o teor do
poema da vida do colono. Notam-se as ricas e exuberantes imagens de
incitação à luta e a Ode, preconizando aquilo que foi o ideal de um mundo
globalizado e justo, parece antever a música Imagine, de John lennon. É
verdadeiramente escrito libertário de alto valor estético.
