I think that this poem was very interesting to me and was very detailed in
the native language and words. This poem was long, yet very fun if you have
the right attitude towards it. I also liked how he gave a certain beat and
tone to the poem. I think that if people looked at how long the poem is and
just skimmed over it, then they wouldn't like it, but if they just read it
instead of skimming over it and being done with it then they would actually
like it.

I can understand about what people say when people say that Henry Wadsworth
Longfellow had the gift of easy rhyme. This poem also flows together like a
peom should, like a story. If you don't think about this length of the
poem, you can enjoy this poem very much. It shows about what Longfellow
understood about Native Americans and it was to me, very interesting. I can
hope that people will not think about the extraordinary length of this poem
and merely enjoy it.

I think this poem is very well written, the rhymes are fluent and the poet
writes the poem as a story. The poet also writes both point of views so you
can unerstand what they are both thinking. This poem is detailed so you
could picture their suroundings very clearly. I like "Song of Haiwatha"
very much!
