The Ghosts

I think that this poem has a lot of meaning and is very descriptive so I
can imagine what is happening.

The poem really had me thinking, as I was wondering at first who were the
strangers, the guests? At first I would have thought Hiawatha would try to
get them out of the house, and why were they described as to be in the
shadows, to go back into the shadows after they had eaten their part? Quite
amazing how these poems are written, and the part of the Four Days, and
when they pass not to burden them with such things like furs but instead
food and fire. Excellent poems.

I really enjoyed this poem a lot. You made it seem as if the lines jumped
right out of the page. I hope you continue to write poems so that we can
all continue to enjoy your art.

When I read this story I thought it was amazing! The reason why I think of
this idea is how he desribes the story. I also like the way he uses his
tone. I thought it was a great poem.

I thought the poem was kind of interesting because it made me very curious.
I was wandering who the guests were and why they were there. There was
suspense in the poem because I thought that Hiawatha was going to kick them
out of his house. I liked the beginning of the poem because I agree that
disasters come together like vultures. I agree with the message because
people always get reminded of really emotional times and sometimes you
can't do anything because of it. Death is a part of living, and people have
to continue living after they lose loved ones.
