And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse

And the days are not full enough

And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
Not shaking the grass
The poet is saying life is not full enough and there is not any "shaking" or movement. He wrote such beautiful poetry yet not moved by life.
