Analysis and comments on Witchcraft was hung, in History, by Emily Dickinson

Comment 2 of 2, added on March 26th, 2006 at 6:27 PM.

This is a perfect poem to kick off a unit on _The Crucible_. I hope
students will be able to make connections to past and present "witchhunts."
(I wish she had said _hanged_, but that probably was not a rule back then!)

This is a well written poem. The author is very brilliant in the work that
she does.
