Emily Dickinson - Behind Me -- dips Eternity --

Behind Me -- dips Eternity --
Before Me -- Immortality --
Myself -- the Term between --
Death but the Drift of Eastern Gray,
Dissolving into Dawn away,
Before the West begin --

'Tis Kingdoms -- afterward -- they say --
In perfect -- pauseless Monarchy --
Whose Prince -- is Son of None --
Himself -- His Dateless Dynasty --
Himself -- Himself diversify --
In Duplicate divine --

'Tis Miracle before Me -- then --
'Tis Miracle behind -- between --
A Crescent in the Sea --
With Midnight to the North of Her --
And Midnight to the South of Her --
And Maelstrom -- in the Sky --

Lord opened sea - Moses behind-I AM,
Lord invited us - A Land before-I AM,
I AM - Who - I AM
Life is the bread of heaven,
doeth come down, and feedth;
His Will - be done - as we pray
is a complete - gracious Gift.
Who Is He - Son of Nun,
the Promise - 14th of Hebrew's Abraham,
the King - 14th of Isreal's David,
the Messiah - 14th after Judah's Rebuild;
Himself - the One - waited and rejected;
Himself - the One - eternal and unchangeable.
In One - and only thru Him-
Son of Nun obtained his name - by His glorious Name.
'Tis Sign before us - His Son-
'Tis His Son in us and with us-
A Light shines in the darkness-
Mary jumped for joy-
Her Son visited us-
the strangers in the world - found rest!

This is my favourite poem. I love the cadence of the second stanza, especially the line, "Himself-himself diversify". It gives it a meandering hurry when read.
