So, I changed my mind.
The seeds of the plant, Morning Glory, grow inside of pods which are inside
of "branch" like structures. The seeds grow inside of the pods and once the
pods reach full maturation, then the plant stops sending energy to the pod
and to the "branch" in which it lays. Once the energy is shut off, the pod
and the "branch" will die and dry and then the seeds can be collected.

Her fingers, "branches on my hand / are full of morning glory", are still
alive because they have not shriveled and died yet.
Blood is still being pumped to her fingers (energy), "And at my finger's
end / The Carmine -- tingles warm".
