kiedyś po poslku czytałem, bo niestety angielszczyzna moja słaba. PS> A
niektórzy to muszą się wszystkiego przyczepić, więc się nie przejmuj.
Śmieszy mnie pogląd ludzi, którym się wydaje, że jak ktoś przeklina,
to jest prostakiem, nie zna poezji, nie czyta, nie ogląda dobrych filmów,
nie słucha dobrej muzyki itd. To jest dopiero prymitywizm dla mnie, a nie
użycie słowa ,,kurestwo"( hm, czy ,,kurewstwo"). Pozdrówka.

Mogę się zdozgić z twierdzeniem, że jestem prostakiem, maniery mam
stajenne a język niewyparzony. Ale, na Boga Miłosiernego, nie ma to
większego związku z odczytywaniem twórczości pani Dickinson. Notabene,
znam tę twórczość dość dobrze i nie od wczoraj. Uwierz mi. Twój cham
i prostak. :-)P.S. Celem owego wpisu nie było zresztą moje brylowanie na
Salonie24, ale przypomnienie 2 przeuroczych fragmentów - ze szczególnym
naciskiem na drugi. Jak się udało - to ok. Post scriptum, jak napisałem,
było daniną dla brudnej rzeczywistości. pzdr

i like how you tegagd this “bad editing” not to say that this
was an example of bad editing, more like sloppy random editing.

Demur from society
Dickinson is telling us that it is better to be masters of our own
decisions than to worry about what society accepts. "Madness" is the
demurring from society, rejecting their views and becoming "dangerous". To
"Assent" is to remain a quiet shadow, not to be bothered with.

this poem is basically saying that to be crazy is to be sane and to be sane
is to be crazy. to people with deceptive eyes the sanest ones are actually
the crazy ones. the majority who thinks of themselves as being sane are
really the crazyones.
