It is possible that she had friends on the North and south during the civil
war. she toatally disagrees with the war and blames the human race for
getting into such a situation...It is of a funnier out look though of
insincere words but she is still agrivated it is going on...

This is one of the funniest of her poems...It is saying
chuck it all there is no way of winning....Everyone disagrees.

How very tragic the civil war that Dickenson is so disturbed that she
fervently speaks out her disgust and torrid anger " i would shoot the human
race"
I am more stoic and in this short poem ask
