Emily Dickinson - Within my reach!

Within my reach!
I could have touched!
I might have chanced that way!
Soft sauntered thro' the village --
Sauntered as soft away!
So unsuspected Violets
Within the meadows go --
Too late for striving fingers
That passed, an hour ago!

How many people pass through our lives every day and we "saunter" past them. In our "striving" we miss some real beautiful people.

This poem stands out from the many I have read. I like how this poem twist in a flirty young girl's perspective.
