After haering the newshe will wipe his tears away,he will walk out of this
office, out of this hall, out of this building, climb into the oven-baked
warmthof his vehicle and roll the windows down, turn the rock n roll up so
the bass drumrattles the loose CD’s stashed in the door, while driving
fast enough that the windripping though his hair brings back memoriesof
summer days in cars without air conditioning. He will not cry again, will
not tell a soulwhat the man in the white lab coat readfrom the sheet of
paper in the plastic clip board, but will go home and hug his wife, will let
his cat curl into his lap and purrwhile the television blares out
background noisefor serenity. He’ll make plans to visit family,to visit
friends, some near, some forgotten,to see concerts of bands he has always
wanted to see,but never had the time. He’ll marvelat just how healthy he
feels. He’ll lie down to sleep,in sheets crowded with scents of
nightsbefore this one, each one seeming new,and he will wait for his eyesto
adjust to the darkness.

Reza,Try to pesrent a fact, not diatribe.“There is virtually no
editorial discretion whatsoever. You are even reprimanded by your readers
about the dates and authenticity of many of this amateur footage.”No,
you are the one person on the EA site trying to reprimand us. In one case
last night, we posted a video, amongst the dozens we looked at yesterday,
which turned out to be of 25 Bahman. A reader in the EA community —
who we value in providing information and working with us — pointed
this out. The video was pulled. The others remain as authentic records of
what happened yesterday.S.

Natalie Merchant has put this beautiful poem to music in her extraordinary
album "Leave your Sleep". Well worth a listen.

maggie and millie and molly and may

Learned of this poem when i was a little girl and it always seemed a little
sad to me. Given the environmental desaster of the gusher in our Gulf,
this poem has another layer of meaning and makes me even more sad when i
read it today.
