what an enthralling, wise poem. cummings expresses a whole world with simple words, the world of his deeply felt emotions. wonderful poet!

Whatever they find at the beach, is what they become later in life.. they find their true self-- hence its always ourselves we find in the sea
It also demonstrates how the beach is a sanctuary, calming and a place to go when you have troubles
