I'm an actor and memorize poems for recitation. I was with a very special
someone awhile ago.. and as we were together, I slowly recited this poem
and, of course, demonstrated. It was an amazing experience. This is much
more than a literary work..... But you knew that.

i really like this poem it has such a strong meaning to it and when you
read it well i know i can get a picture in my head and thats what i like
about poems froma scale form 1 to 10 i will give this poem a 9 1/2

this is my favorite poem by e.e. cummings i have it posted up all over my
walls in my room! it is so passionate and makes your body shiver when you
read it!

my absolute favorite cummings poem. it sooooo sums up the first time with a
new lover. i already have one of his sketches tattooed on my calf and may
get this poem inked on as well. i have thought of this poem when i've been
with certain lovers and would love to have one think of it when with me.

This sums up how i feel about the man in my life; he surprised me by
knowing it too. This is the most sensual, loving poem ever to have been
written; nothing to beat it in its imagery. Subtle it is not and is all
the better for it.
