His eyes are petals, his face is a flower (not a face with hands. put your hands against the side of your head and spread you fingers - it looks like petals on a flower, but he is a flower.) Also, I like how he and the rest of the flowers bow in the presence of sunlight, i.e. his beloved thereisabluebirdinmyheart from United States Comment 8 of 9, added on February 27th, 2009 at 10:14 AM. this is a very touching poem. i love it!!! i give him props, even though he's dead. it's so sad what happened to his parents. and i would't change it for anything. this by far, is one of his BEST poems. i can't even begin to say how much i like this poem. yes it is about death and sadness, but it is also about his feelings and he does an outstanding job in showing, and not telling.
