The beauty in this poem is overwhelming. It's deffinately one way to steal a womans heart.

e.e. cummings is perhaps one of the strangest poets of all time and one of America’s finest poets of all time. He was encouraged at a young age to be creative and was later Harvard educated. His methods for writing follow no traditional guidelines in the sense of punctuation or capitalizing. e.e. cummings is without a doubt a difficult person to understand. In his poem i carry your heart with me he uses metaphorical statements to compare a girl’s beauty to the world, the moon, and the sun. He also uses repetition when he says how he carries her heart both at the beginning and ending to reemphasize how much he cares for her.
