Cummings im in 8th grade and i have to do a project on this poet. this poem is often seen in many places and as of today i really love this poem. it took me 1 week to figure out wat it means but as i kept reading and reading i really understood what it meant... They believe that a theme or an idea can be conveyed in just one image. Everything is the poem is meant to emphasize the one image, which in this case is the grasshopper hopping. I am doing a research paper on E.E. Cummings, and when i first saw this poem I thought that my computer was messed up. Now I realize the amazing thought that went in to construct this poem. Cummings really did paint a picture for me and I loved decoding his message! This is truly one of my favorite poems!
