This poem simply says that Jose Garcia Villa is the dove, the eagle, and
the lion who sought new areas of poetry to write about (and was not that
afraid to do so.)

this poem is written by cummings to his friend, Jose Garcia Villa, a
Filipino-American poet who called himself Doveglion (Dove Eagle Lion).

A man who was lonely. He didn't know why, And he felt sorry for himself.
But he found an answer he hadn't looked for, And he found himself
