e.e. cummings - Doveglion

he isn't looking at anything
he isn't looking for something
he isn't looking
he is seeing

what

not something outside himself
not anything inside himself
but himself

himself how

not as some anyone
not as any someone

only as a noone(who is everyone)

This poem simply says that Jose Garcia Villa is the dove, the eagle, and the lion who sought new areas of poetry to write about (and was not that afraid to do so.)

this poem is written by cummings to his friend, Jose Garcia Villa, a Filipino-American poet who called himself Doveglion (Dove Eagle Lion).
