Really sexy. The Great EE Cummings never failed to give new ways of
expressing common emotion but in a more creative and intellectual level.
The poem is great and very poetic.

This is an experience that is sexual, sensual, while the sea imagery moves
the poem and objectifies his lover. He is the current, and she is the sea.
When understood this way the reader experinces the union of the two-- and
it is amazing!

Being familiar with the ocean and her mischevious ways, I tend to gather
that this poem reflects the author's view of the waves. He speaks of the
rising crest, only to disappear again, which reminds me of the regal rise
of her breast (crest), whitecapping, and then ceasing, returning back to
the unity of her body. I enjoyed this poem, and it is a little easier to
understand than some of his other work. A very creative writer, indeed, but
does make one put on the thinking cap, beyond the ordinary imagination,
only to bring us back to recognize what we take for granted in the first
place.
