Edna St. Vincent Millay is my favorite poet and "The Wood Road" is my
favorite Millay poem. She just has the greatest gift for word pictures and
this poem, to me, is breath-taking because, even though brief, it makes a
powerful point about the cycle of life. It is simple, profound, and
beautiful all at the same time.
