Was it for this I uttered prayers,
And sobbed and cursed and kicked the stairs,
That now, domestic as a plate,
I should retire at half-past eight?

i love this poem!! it kind of reminds me of my childhood. i think everyone should read this and it should remind them of something about their childhood.
