I feel, the author, is trying to enlighten her readers on the conversation
between some women. The topic of their discussion is their husbands and
their character. Prue speaks about the patience of her man, while Joan's is
a gentle lover. Agatha's is a kind hearted man, Mig's man a honest man;
Sue can predict the thoughts of her man while Joan's is a gentle man.
Though these women are quiet content with their men one feeling is common
between them and that is that their men are not teh tru loves of their
life. They would love to meet the true love of their life but as of now,
since they have not found true love they feel the concept is false.
